There's no such thing as DIY
Who's helping you?
Yes, you.
You, the hyper-competent, mega-resourceful one.
You, the one who'd rather just do it yourself, because
(a) no one else can do it as well as you do
(2) by the time you get the helper up to speed, you coulda just done it yourself
(iii) it's really not a big deal and you “should be able to” handle it/figure it out/make time for it
(Oh yes, I know your reasons, because they have been MY reasons for decades)
Here's what I'm discovering more each day, though:
The more help I get, the more power I access.
The more support I have for my body, heart, business, and home,
the more potent my love and work become.
Help is PREREQUISITE to success.
First I get the help. THEN I access the power.
And needing help isn't a sign of my weakness.
It's evidence of and support for my strength.

When I receive help,
I affirm the reality that We Are All In This Together.
That NONE of us can do it alone.
Now
I know you, like me, have been dunked and steeped
in an individualistic, late-capitalist, White dominant, patriarchal culture
hell-bent on making you believe that success is self-made,
and the more you can do, the better you are.
Listen.
That shit is trying to keep us tired, self-blaming, spread-thin, and weak.
And in too many places, it's succeeding.
So.
Who's helping you?
Give them more credit. More gratitude. More money.
And where do you feel least powerful/most overwhelmed?
That's exactly where more/better help will change everything.
Love,
Natalie
