A whole lot of patience and time

I'd love to share with you the message that's coming through these days:

We reap what we sow, and thus:

much of what you're currently experiencing

is the harvest

of what you were cultivating months ago.

Yes, sweetheart.

I KNOW you know.

And/but in this age of Instacart and Instagram

and Siri and streaming and Prime,

sometimes we can forget that cultivating results takes time.

So:

where in your life are you impatiently waiting for blossoms and fruits,

when you've only just begun planting new seeds?

Where do you find yourself pacing and worrying,

brow furrowed and arms tightly crossed,

fueling your doubt with frets?

Wherever that is -

your health / a relationship / your business / at home -

remember that what we're doing NOW

is planting the seeds for what we'll harvest NEXT.

I don't want any of the shit I'm scared of, do you?

I thought not.

So:

Let's turn away from worry and doubt

and toward our hopes and dreams.

Toward the values and qualities we want more of in our lives.

Whatever we (at)tend to grows.
