How to know you're Ready for the next step
How do you know you're Ready?
(to create the business, to put the new offer out there, to launch the podcast, to write the book proposal, to take the leap already)?
Well . . . you don't.
These big moves are situations where you're never really aaalllll the way ready.
Like, when are you READY to move in with someone?
READY to adopt a puppy?
READY to buy a house?
READY to run for office?
READY to have a kid?
Even if you think you're Ready?
It's not until you're actually IN the situation that you even begin to know what Ready means.
And once you've experienced this kind of not-actually-Readyness . . . it probably substantially cools your jets when you're thinking about trying something new.
Lots of folx have written to me saying they're not Ready for Crucible.
Crucible: my 7 week group coaching program where you finally get cooking on an idea that's been on your back burner foreverrrrrrr
They say, “omg, this looks ah-maze-ing, but I don't think I'm Ready.”
When I ask Why Not, they usually say:
Because I am soooo busy.
Because I still have a bunch of things to sort out.
Because April is just jam-packed.
Because I'm not 100% sure about this.
Because I just need to (finish this other project / get to the end of the semester / wait till things settle down).
Yeah, well . . . all of those reasons tell me it's a great time for Crucible.
Because Crucible is designed to meet you exactly here.
At the intersection of I Want Something Different & I'm Scared.
At the corner of This Idea Thrills Me & Where Will I Find the Time and Energy For It.
So are you Ready? The answer is always Yes AND No.
How 'bout a different question.
Would you like to be Done?
Done giving yourself to work that's no longer alive for you.
Done pouring your creativity to everyone else's projects.
Done second-guessing yourself and your desires.
Done putting off the Next Step that just might change everything?
If yes, it's time.
No need to be Ready.
Just willing.
love,
Natalie
