You need to do more of this.
I'm gonna guess if you're into my work,
you're an over-giver.

Yep. Takes one to know one, and I am definitely one.
Perhaps you already know this about yourself,
and you're actively working on it.
Or maybe your head tends to swirl in NeverEnoughNeverEnough,
and only your deepest-down guts feel the truth:
your capacity for Giving exceeds your capacity for Receiving.
That is not only unsustainable,
it's a recipe for resentment and burnout.
This is changeable, and you can start today. Ask:
What would be delicious?
What would be a total treat?
Indulge in that.
Expect to feel self-conscious. Maybe even a little embarrassed or guilty.
I promise: the worse it feels to treat yourself,
the greater the imbalance you're correcting.
I also promise:
the more you learn to receive,
the more you'll be able to give . . .
but not - as usual - from your reserves.
