Four coach-y questions
Dear friend,
This morning, I'm in the mood to coach you a little bit.
ONE:
What do you want to do today?
(I mean: what do you REALLY want to do?)
TWO:
What's in the way?
(Commitments? Self-judgment?)
(If you said “NOTHING!” then yay . . . and/but, make sure you listen for any little part that disagrees, ok?)
Okay NOW
THREE:
How does What You WANT To Do align with your values?
FOUR:
How does What's In The Way need to shift/change/evolve/go away in order for you to live your values?
Here's mine:
One:
I want to do a little yoga,
go to a plant swap,
love up my boyfriend,
only eat takeout.
Two:
NOTHING is in the way
well
except
the little voice that says
"We have a whole day!
Shouldn't we be working on the homework
the new project
the creative endeavor?
And also shouldn't we really just cook something?"
Three:
A little yoga: wellness, strength, flexibility.
Plant swap: generosity, community, creativity. (I'm taking macrame!)
Loving up my boyfriend: intimacy, pleasure, partnership.
Ordering takeout: ease, receptivity, generosity.
Four:
I'm learning, ever more deeply:
my ability to generate/create/DO
requires that I receive/enjoy/BE.
In order to live my values,
I need to sweetly answer the “Shouldn't we / shouldn't we" voice
with a kind and firm reminder
that we are prioritizing Being over Doing.
That we are learning to receive,
to enjoy,
to embrace desire.
And that all our success / projects / opportunities / endeavors
depend on that - no -
THRIVE on that.
Okay!
Your turn.
love,
Natalie
