Spider Lessons 🕸️ 🕷️ ✨
Every night, a spider weaves a web atop my front door.
See?
At first, she wove her web low, in the corner of the doorframe,
right where my man would run into it,
when he'd take the doggos out for their evening constitutional.
But she didn't give up.
She learned.
Now she weaves the web much higher - right up by the porchlight.
Smart, as tons of little flying bugs are attracted to that.
It's basically spider DoorDash.
Now, instead of accidentally wrecking her web, my partner says,
“Hey, maybe leave the porchlight on for her? Just for a bit?”
Now, in this perfect spot, she weaves a new web every night.
(The interwebs tell me she eats up and recycles the old web into a new one).
Imagine all that.
She shows up every day.
She's not afraid to start over.
Starting over is what she does.
Starting over is how she figures out the best way.
She uses her past creations to feed her new ones.
And unbeknownst to her, someone is leaving the light on for her.
Spider wisdom:
Whatever tattered old web you have:
that thing you created that just isn't working for you,
or that agreement you made that other people keep wrecking?
It's not a mistake.
It's not your forever domicile.
It's not even a problem.
It's fuel.
Go ahead and tear it down.
I will leave the light on for you.
love,
Natalie
